Welcome!

So very nice of you to stop by! What a fun and challenging hobby to have!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Challenges for the Week

I was busy this weekend making some cards for this week's challenges at various spots. I've been working on other Christmas projects and haven't really had time to make any cards...but this weekend I made time!!!

Happy Thanksgiving
So here they are!

This one was for Stamp TV's Sketch Spotlight and also for For Fun Challenge to show being Thankful. I used GKD white, red cs and the dp is DCWV. The stamps used were GKD Melanie's A Year of Borders and Theresa's Autumn Beauty. The inside was stamped with Great Impressions. Colored with copics and added some ribbon and leaf embellishment.

This certainly is the time of the year to be thankful for all we have. Thanksgiving will be spent with family members coming to my house for the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Will be an enjoyable time and a great time to catch up with  all of the family news.

Today's Challenges

Here are a couple of cards I made today...had to dirty up that stamp room you know! :-)))

These were for the release party at Stamp TV last Thursday. The first one is for Lee's challenge of making a nontraditional Christmas card -- no red, green, navy blue, or blue and white.

This one was for Emily Giovani's sketch challenge. I made a Thank You card which I'll be able to use. I have a birthday coming up and know I will be in need of some thank yous and this can be one. Still have some more I need to make. Another day's project!

The Clean UP

I bet you will understand when I say...a CLEAN UP was needed!!!! I have been moving things around in that stamping area of the spare bedroom...and HOPEFULLY have things better organized now!!! The last 2 days have been spent, cleaning, tossing, rearranging and LOOKING to see what I have!!!

The biggest challenge was trying to find a place to put all the stamps!!! OH MY...but I am addicted!!!! I finally decided on 3 ring binders with page protectors for the clear stamps, some other clear stamps I already had done in CD boxes...and those do work well but I ran out of CD cases! The wooden stamps take up LOTS more space so those are in plastic tubs...I had them in those little 3 drawer plastic holders but the drawers started to fall out of the track due to use and heavy! Gina Kay is in the long tub in plastic envelopes! OH YES I am addicted!!!!

Anyway....here are some pics of the finished look....at least until I get in there and start messing things up again!!!
NICE clean work area! But look at all of the stuff!!! Addictions!!!
Copics, die cut area, cardstock in the far back shelf

Ink pads, smooch
Decorative paper and embellishments

From the doorway! Notice HOW clean!!!

And of course the biggest question of all..HOW long will it stay tidy??? BUT at least I know where things are today! :-)

Friends Make Life Pawsitively WONDERFUL!

For Fun Challenge has one this week using metal. So I created this kitty thank you. I used metal brads on the front and also metal embellishments. On the inside added the thanks and some more metal embellishments. I am thinking this could be a great thank you for a friend who will take care of my kitties by feeding them! I added a little ribbon and used copics. The stamps were by Hero Arts, All Night Media, Impression Obsession,Inc. and Great Impressions. It is red cs card and the dp is from my stash of pet paper!  I HAVE LOTS of that!! :-)
The front

The inside thanks.
This was a fun one to do for the FUN Challenge!

Stamp TV Color Challenge

This challenge was to create a wine, gold, ivory card. Here it is....I used a new Stained Glass type looking stamping I found by Stamping Sensations. That has lots of possiblities to get a stained glass look. It would be nifty to do it on vellum and get that true stained glass look.

Mail To Go

I started making my Christmas gift list. This is the Mail to Go which is made out of a napkin holder from the Dollar Store! It was an idea that I had gotten from Stamp TV and found that it is a great gift. You just need to cut your cardstock to fit the ends of the napkin holder ( mine are 8 1/2 "  x 6")  and then design however you want. I have done them with stamping...but this one was done just with stickers since I didn't have any monkey stamps. You might also have envelopes that will just slide over the ends of the napkin holder and be the right size. Once you have cut out your cardstock..score 2 lines in the middle about 1/4 inch apart so that you can fold it...and I also scored one line on edges at 1/4 inch so I could fold better. I used score tape to attach the folded parts on the side together to make a pocket. Then decorate, use your score tape to put it together, slide it on and I put score tape on the napkin holder to hold it in place and you are done! I made my Mail to Go front on Print Shop on the computer.

The front....
The back....

Of course had to have a card to put in it....

...with an explanation of what this is for!

Finished product!
