Welcome!

So very nice of you to stop by! What a fun and challenging hobby to have!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Iris Folding

This is for Stamp Tv's Release Challenge 2...use twine, string, fiber ... no ribbon.  I created an iris fold vase and added some flowers on the top. I used scrap dp for the folding and some left over pieces of cardstock. Then wrapped the front with hemp cord. The inside has some stash ( have no name on them) stamps with sunflowers added in. Used some Smooch for coloring the leaves

Inspiration Blooms

This card is for the Inspiration Blooms Challenge of using NO dp. I used red, yellow, blue GK cs, Cut with Quickkutz Cookie Cutter, Used stamps from GKD Spring Has Spring and Enjoy the Sunshine, colored with copics, sakura glitter and gel pens. Added a little bling and a bow. Kept it pretty simple...but hoping for Spring that is NO where in sight in Wisconsin today as we are in the midst of a snow storm!

Here is a green, yellow and neutral card for Stamp Tv's Release Party Challenge..color. It is also the sketch for Mo 178. And a Happy Birthday challenge for For Fun Challenge I used yellow and white GK cs, green Archivers cs, Sassafrass Sweet Marmalade dp. Happy Birthday floral

This is for the Repeat Impressions Challenge at the House That Stamps Built. The challenge was the CASE Card challenge from a card created by Rock star, Robin Kirkpatrick. And it was a gorgeous card! I tried to create a card similar and was definitely inspired by the soft pink and green and the layout. I used stamps from Heartfelt Creations, Basic Grey dp, GK bubblegum pink cs, scalloped  square large spellbinders, some copics, sakura glitter pens, and of course had to add some bling of pearls and ribbon. It was a lovely card to CASE.

Floral Tea

This is a sketch for Speedy Cat's Challenge #42 and also for JUGS#71 Technique Challenge using spotlighting technique.

I used the dp from DCWV La Creme again and also Mark's Finest stamp set Floral Tea that I had won to make this card. Spotlighting was my first attempt at doing. I used Labels 4, 13, lacey circles and Border die from Papertrey for the die cuts. The cardstock is GK ivory.  The stamps were Mark's Finest and Great Impressions frame, GKD Nina labels. Added some ribbon, beads, pins and pearls.

This is the first ever attempt at spotlighting...might have been a bit to small a space!!

Cute Card Thursday

This is for Cute Card Thursday Challenge -- using hearts and flowers challenge 151.

Since I had my Valentine cards all done...I decided NOT to make a Valentine card. Instead I used an Iris folding of a heart and built the card around it. I used Colorbok dp, Gk cs, stamped with Crafter's Companion In the Garden with Vivid Strawberry ink, added some pearls, embellishments and ribbons.

Joan's Garden

This is for Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #7
Here is what you need to do for Joan's Gardens Weekly Challenge #7....

• Use designer paper for your background
• Use no other stamping except for a sentiment and frame (such as a JustRite Stamp)
• Use all the embellishments you would like to use
• Use some kind of dimension on the card (such as a flower)

I enjoyed doing this one. I used  DCWV LaCreme dp, and put it on Ivory GKcs. The stamp is a Great Impressions Frame stamp and the saying is from Mark's Finest. This is the stamp I won on the Speedy Cat's Challenge--Floral Tea. It has lots of great potential and I'm thrilled to have won it. I used the Spellbinders Label 8 for cutting out the frame and picture.

This is the front which was with GKD sweet mango cs, behind it is the moonlight fog (closest I had to gray), on GKD white cs. The dp is by Nikki Sivils and I LOVE her paper!

I used Spellbinders Labels 10, Crown Circles and Fanciful labels. The stamps were Stampendous and on the inside Whipper Snapper designs.com.

Added some embellishments, brads, cord, pearls and cut the corners with angle punch.

Spring

Front..Spring
This is for 2 challenges. The first challenge is for For Fun Challenge..did the Groundhog say Spring or Winter! I opted for SPRING!

The Stamp TV color challenge using bubblegum, sweet mango and black onyx. For me that was a very unusual color combination...but it did work...but it did take me awhile to come up with a design combo I could like!

I used Tim Holtz Distress INks, wild honey, black soot, worn lipstick, stormy sky and used water with them to create the watercolor effect. I have just taken a class at Archivers on doing this and this was my first solo attempt! It really is a neat process!

I embossed the saying with white, the bird with gold
and added the ribbon and pearls. This is the inside and
I used spellbinders Labels 15 and Scapmart Exclusive
 labels around the Hero Stamps.
The dp was a stash piece.
Inside and yes spring is coming!

Valentine Holder and card

I think this should do it for Valentine's Day. I made this card for  Mark's Finest Speedy Cat's Challenge....a Valentine Card and also for Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge...using pink, red, white ribbon. Also will enter it in 7 Kids College fund challenge to use hearts.

I made the Valentine shaped holder box from Martha Stewarts template. Then used Spellbinders hearts to cut out the red and embossed heart. The card background is with GK bubble gum, red cs, the decorative paper is Bo Bunny. I stamped the heart with baby pink Memento and then used Impressive stamps and colored with chalk colored pencils. Added a ribbon tag from Spellbinders and stamped with Mark's Finest Hearts stamp. The bows are with white and pink heart bow on a red bow.

The inside I used an Outlines stamp and colored with copics, sakura glitter pens, added some stickers.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This is a combination card and candy holder.
