Welcome!

So very nice of you to stop by! What a fun and challenging hobby to have!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Today's Challenges

I did 2 challenges today for Stamp TV. The first one is for Free For All Friday which was to create a scene using at least 3 stamps. I had fun with this one and used the gkd Follow Your Dream stamp set and actually used 6 different stamps (and stamped some more than once) to create this water scene. I then colored it with Copics and used Distress Mustard Seed ink sponged on. The cs was white from gkd and DCMV Lemon Flower dp. The inside are Meljens Digi Designs that I just found online today. They really worked out nicely and I thought made a cute and appropriate inside for this one. Again, colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens.

The second challenge was for Mix It Up Monday which was to add texture to your card. I used the Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder on the Just Peachy cs from gkd.  Stamped the sentiment and the image from gkd Birthday Bash on yellow cs, colored with copics and cut out with Spellbinders Labels 17. The dp is Cosmos Cricket Pixie-Licious. On the inside I used Birthday Crown cupcake phrases by Sizzix to emboss with and colored over with copics. It was stamped with black and cantaloupe Memento ink.

Golf cards

Today I finished the last of my first commissioned job....making birthday cards. I needed to make some masculine birthday cards and choose to finish up with golfing themes. I was in luck and found some embellishments that were golfing...added in some cut out patterns from Craftuprints and put it together. The Craftuprints had some dp background that would work so printed it out on my computer and then cut it to fit the page.  I used GKD white heavy cs, Hero Arts green cs with the Craftuprints dp. I used Papertrey birthday greetings, Cottage Ivy Memento, Danube Blue Memento and Black Memento ink. Presto!! Cards were done!
