Welcome!

So very nice of you to stop by! What a fun and challenging hobby to have!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Thinking of You Black and White

This is a challenge for Stamp TV..Mix It Up Monday which was to create a card stamping a sentiment ONLY! (Here is the website)

I LOVE making cards in black and white and this seemed to fit the particulars perfectly. I used the sentiment from GKD Stenciled Spring and stamped it in Hero Arts White on black cs and then highlighted it with white opaque pen. I placed it inside a GKD Lovely Labels frame in Tuxedo Black Memento, highlighted with clear Sakura glitter pen and cut out with Labels 11 by Spellbinders. I used GKD white cs, Paper Studio dp Black and White. Added some brads, flowers by Spare Parts and black and white ribbon and pearls in the corners colored with black Copic marker. I also used Martha Steward lace punch on the outside and the inside. The sentiment on the inside is from GKD Sweetest Memories.

Happy Day

This was a challenge for Outlines Monday Challenge 15 -- Beautiful Borders.  (Here is the website)

I used the Outlines stamps Flower Strip border E553, Wavy Posy Large  G 1026, Wavy Posy Medium E1027, Wavy Posy Small D1028,  Posy Greeting Centers F1049 and also Hello C271 on the inside. After stamping the flowers with Tuxedo Black Memento ink I then cut the flowers out and popped them on top of one another with a Posy greeting in the center that was stamped with Danube Blue Memento and added some Stickles for sparkle. It is placed on a grass green cs by GKD, Making Memories Flutter is the dp. After using Martha Stewart Punch for the lacy punch along the edge, the border was placed on the side of the front of the card and colored with Copics. Added some ribbon, bling, buttons with corded thread, flowers (by Studio g) and a little Hello inside. And it is ready to go to the mail with a warm Hello.

Thinking of You STVMONTAMI2

This is for the Mix It Up Monday Challenge at Stamp TV....STVMONTAMI2....The challenge was to look at this image for inspiration and create a card. (Here is the website)

I looked at the wonderful vibrant colors and that was what I went with ... I used cranberry tart GKD cs as my base and the Creative Imaginations dp was perfect with its cranberry, goldish yellow, aqua, peacock blue colors to name a few. I also used the GKD Birds and Vases stamps by Melanie Muenchinger and created my image by stamping the flower stems, then adding the flowers and buds and putting it in the stamped vase. I colored with Copics, added some Ranger Crackle on the vase and some icicle Stickles on the flowers. The background I sponged with Brilliance sunflower yellow, Colorbox cranberry and Versa Magic Aquatic Splash. I used Labels 17 to cut out the image and cranberry tart background...adding some ribbon, pearls, gems, and bow. I also used Liquid Pearls peacock, buttercup and ruby red.

Birds birds birds!

This is for the Free For All Friday Challenge on Stamp TV...  STVFRIJH3 ...a bird themed card was the challenge. (Here is the challenge site) As luck would have it, I was just doing some shopping and find the most ADORABLE stamp set by Prickley Pear and a die cut to match! So it was just winking at me to TRY me now! I also had seen a new (for me) kind of card to make...a side step card which is an A2 envelope sized card. So those were the 2 new items I tried this time! I used a prescored card from Repeat Impressions on white cs, the dp is DCWV Green Stack. The stamps are Prickley Pear Bird Stamps and Build A Bird die cut. Cloud diecut was from PaperTrey. Colored with Copics, Sakura clear glitter pen, added some bling and Have a Beautiful Day!

You Put the Merry in Christmas

This is for House-Mouse and friends Monday Challenge #101 (Website). The challenge was to create an ATC (Artist Trading Card that is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches) and use Mouse House stamps. It is a VERY little space! I used the House Mouse Christmas Clear Stamps and stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento on white gkd cs which I had spritzed with red and green Smooch spray. The base was red gkd cs, the dp was Basic Grey Jovial pack. I stamped the mouse twice and cut out one to pop on top of the other on the card. Colored with Smooch, Copics, added some Polar White Flower Soft and the spritzed with gold/silver shimmer. Added a bow and some candy embellishments and I decided it could be perfect for a tag for a gift! Or maybe could use it as the front of a gift card pocket...Hmmm??NOW that might just work!!!! :-)

Thinking of You

This is for the Outlines Monday Challenge 11 -- Inspiration Photo. (Here is their website)
This was the picture for inspiration.

I looked through my paper supply and found some dp paper by DCWV that I thought was perfect for this one. It was from the Lemon Flower Pack and Jewel cs by DCWV and I used GKD white cs for the base. I stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento ink the Outlines E-733 Flower Motif Sq. Lg on the outside and Outlines #912 Thinking of You for the inside. I cut out the image square and then used Spellbinders Eyelet Squares die cut and put the Cuttlebug Fanciful tags for the background of that. Colored with Copics, Sakura glitter pens. I used a Martha Stewart lace punch to create the lacey edge on the front and the inside. The dots were added with Viva Pearl Pen and Liquid Pearls, some ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and some bling and embellishments from the stash drawer. The flower on the front was highlighted with a green hatpin from Mark's Finest Products. This was a great challenge and I really enjoyed making this one!

Peace, Love and Joy

This is for a challenge at Outlawz -- CAS Christmas in July card. This is my first time entering their challenges...they have LOTS of different ones on there.(Here is the website)  I used GKD green and red cs, punched the bottom edge with a Martha Stewart Lace Punch, stamped directly on the red with Paris Dusk Memento using GKD Blessed is the Season stamps. I added some Sakura clear glitter to have the glistening snow effect. Added the sentiment in Black Tuxedo Memento and then put a ribbon topper with 3 pearls colored with red copic. Quite CAS for me!! The inside sentiment is also from Blessed is the Season.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

This is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge...Week 162. (Website) The challenge was to use Penny Black stamps to create the background and had to use at least one Penny Black Image. Well...this was a challenge as I was trying to do Christmas cards and had only one Penny Black stamp! So...I used the little mouse at the end of the sleigh as the background! He got cut off cuz the image was too big...but he is still part of the group! I used GKD white  and grass green cs, Basic Grey Jovial paper as dp on the inside. Colored with Copics, Sakura glitter pens, added some Polar White Flower Soft for snow, die cut with curved rectangles by Spellbinders. The sentiment on the inside is a Stampabilities Warm Your Heart. Added a ribbon, bow and some bling...and We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

Joy

This is for the WHAT IF? Sketch Challenge J2711 at The House That Stamps Built Repeat Impressions. (This is their website)                                This was the sketch.

I used GKD white and turquoise cs with DCWV Christmas stack dp. I stamped with Outlines Caroling Bird G-1116 and E-562 Ornament stamp to do the front. The Joy sentiment is from PaperTrey Holiday Wishes. I used Black Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored with copics, Sakura glitter pens. Cut the image out with Labels 15 Spellbinders and the ornaments were with Paper Trey Edge die, added some blue and white cord to the image and some bling and silver stickers. The Joy was large inverted circle Spellbinder die. The inside was die cut with Scapmart Ovals and stamped with Outlines sentiment D1127 Let Music. I also used Brillance Peacock Blend ink, Paris Dusk Memento.

And hopefully joy will be with us this holiday season!

Summer

This is a Summer challenge at  Stamp TV...Free For All Friday Challenge (Here is the website) which was to create a CAS card with the theme summer and you can stamp your image but NOT color it!

So I used GKD Kraft cs, and placed a NRN vellum Sticker of Palm Tree  and shell on the front and then stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento ink a sea shell stamp on the bottom by Rubber Stampede and Hero Arts Summer on the top. On the Inside I added some vellum stickers and stamped over with Ink Antics sentiment.

By golly...this is CAS and NO coloring!!! Also NO bling and NO ribbon! :-)

Sending You the Joy

This is for Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge #66 -- Anything but Ribbon.(Here is the website.) Since I have been working on making Christmas cards I decided to use Mark's Christmas Postage Due stamp set and I used Musical Holidays for the sentiment on the inside. I used MFP white cs and GKD key lime cs with the We R Memory Keepers dp and Doodlebug dp. I stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento ink on the front and Ladybug and Cottage Ivy Memento ink on the inside, colored with copics, Sakura glitter pens, added some Polar White Flower Soft for the beards and Ranger Glossy Accent for glasses. AND since I couldn't use ribbon...added some Mark's red twine in 3 buttons from Oriental Trading. And sending you Christmas wishes....with Postage Due!
