Anything BUT a card!

For this week on For Fun Challenge....you can enter anything but a card!  If you sew, crochet, scrap, knit, paint, garden, anything but a card! Now remember nothing offensive and remember NO nudity as this is a family friendly site!

One of my other crafting endeavors is also knitting. I have found knitting afghans and coming up with my own patterns to be a fun thing to do. Have given some for gifts and others are laying around my house on chairs, beds and the quilt rack. One always can enjoy curling up with a good cover!

This is one of those creations....and as you can see one of my cats, Ginger, has found it to be a great place to lie too!

Hoppy Easter - Blog Hop 3

                            Hello!

          Welcome to Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe's
                  April Blog Hop!
               April 3rd - April 5th
That gives you 3 days to play!

This was another fun card to do with the chalk. The chalk was mixed with 3D Crystal Lacquer. Just put a small amount of lacquer down (I used a palette with little tubs) and then dab your brush in the lacquer and then put in the powdered chalk and mix it up in the lacquer. Keep dabbing until your color is the shade you want. Then just paint it on your stamped image! This adorable bunny image is from Stamp N Plus Scrap N.

YES it is that easy! I did the flowers with Sakura Glitter pens. Added some stickers, ribbon and Happy Easter!

Here is my project.

Thanks for "beeing" so wonderful - Blog Hop Day 2

Hello!
Welcome to Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe's
April Blog Hop!
April 3rd - April 5th
That gives you 3 days to play!

Today's card was made with stamps from Stamp N Plus Scrap N and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

The background for the sentiment was made with chalk and shaving cream. VERY easy to do....put some shaving cream on a plate...sprinkle on some chalk...as many colors as you would like...take a knife and cut through the shaving cream which will mix up the chalk colors....then take your piece of cardstock and rub it through the shaving cream wiping off any extra...let it dry and then you can stamp on it or use it as a background.

The beehive had the chalk applied directly to it with a cotton ball and the bees have Sakura glitter pens added to it to highlight the stripes.

Added some ribbon, brads and flowers and a thank you card is done!

Here is my project.

Thanks - Blog Hop Day 1

Hello!
Welcome to Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe's
April Blog Hop!
April 3rd - April 5th
That gives you 3 days to play!

Here is my project.

For today's card I chose to use the chalk in 2 different ways. The card is a DCWV embossed card...happy. These cards already come embossed which is great. I used the chalk directly to the cardstock with a little cotton ball. No fixative needed...just rubbed and blew off the extra chalk. I then highlighted it  with Sakura glitter pens.

The second method was mixing the chalk with Buzz n Magic Paint. The 2 ducks were painted with this.

The images and the sentiments of Thanks! and Hello! are stamps from Stamp N Plus Scrap N and stamped with Memento tuxedo black ink. Added a bow and some pearls. It is green grass cs by GKD and Oriental Trading dp.

What fun this chalk is! There are so many different things you can do with it. Tomorrow I will have another way to use the chalk! Enjoy!
