Welcome!

So very nice of you to stop by! What a fun and challenging hobby to have!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Sit Long, Talk Much, Laugh Often!

Welcome to the 4th Challenge of Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe--use chalk as a background. Remember you must used our chalks BUT any image!!!! If you want the chalk....be sure to check out the website! Check it out here! Great offerings on there!!!!  What a great way to do the background! *Here is the website to enter the challenge!

I used a Paper Studios Whimsy Frame embossing folder and after the embossing just applied the powdered chalk directly on the paper with a sponge dauber! So easy and NO mess and NO fixative necessary!!! Just sponge, wipe and DONE!!!!

The cs was GKD white and K and Company dp and that is what I matched the colors to. I was SO pleased to find chalk and copics that were an EXCELLENT match!! The stamp image (from Stamp N Plus Scrap N) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento and then I colored the tea pots and cups with Copics and accented with Sakura glitter pens. The sentiment I stamped twice and sponged with with chalk, then traced the letters with Sakura glitter pens and glued the layer on top...didn't want to have a total pop up look so just a second layer did the trick. Then added some ribbon and some bling. A great card to send to a friend who YOU love to chat with!

Hope to see your entry!!! The winner will receive a mini stamp set!

  1. I like the tea pot card & background chalk technique. The pop of chalk color is wonderful. Glad to have won some more chalk for my Cheetah scrapbo0ok layoiut to play with and will give the background chalking a try.
