Welcome!

So very nice of you to stop by! What a fun and challenging hobby to have!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

WHOA! Yer How Old?

This is for the Speedy the Cat's Challenge Week  #83 -- make a masculine card.  A good challenge and a good idea to have a masculine card on hand! I find I can ALWAYS use a masculine birthday card! This challenge runs from Sat., Nov. 26 - Friday, Dec. 2.  (here is the website)

First I had to decide what kind of masculine card to make..hmmm? birthday! Then decided on which stamp set...hmmm? The new Trip to Lancaster by MFP seemed to fit the bill. So...I started!

I used that stamp set and created a "scene" with the barn, the tree and the horse and buggy....stamped it all with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens. The background was Kraft paper from GKD, Karen Foster dp, white cs from MFP. After I had the images all colored I decided Distress inks were the way to go...so used Stormy Sky and Tumbled glass for the sky and Pumice stone and Tea Dye for the road....did some sponging and some blending and the front was done!

The inside I embossed with a Cuttlebug birthday folder and then the sentiment (which was MFP Birthday mini stamp set) was cut out with Labels 7 and sponged with the Distress Ink Pumice Stone and Tea Dye. Had to add a LITTLE bling..masculine or not! :-)

Happy Birthday!
