When you look at the 2 you can see the difference in the shine of the image. Both are done on Vivid Raspberry cs by MFP and K & Company dp. Sakura glitter pens were used for some accent color. The sentiment is from Stamp N Plus N Scrap N. Spellbinders Scalloped ovals large were used to cut out the sentiment. Added a little ribbon, bow and some bling!

March calendar

This is part of a CD calendar for March. This is for MyGrafico Monday feature using Whimsy Irish elements designed by Cupcakes Cutiess. Here is the spot to see the team's designs!

This was a really quick and easy project to do. I had my makings for the 2012 calendar out...used some Hero Arts green cardstock for the background, added some calendar dp and then printed out and cut out the clipart digi images. The calendar was printed off of the computer at a free site. Used Spellbinders Label 7 to cut out the calendar. Found some St, Patty's stickers to add a little more deco...and March is done and coming around the corner!

March is coming!

The Darice embossing folder Butterfly seemed to work perfectly for the background for this adorable Queen Patty bee from Stamp N Plus Scrap N. The sentiment is from there also. I embossed the white cs by GKD and then used chalk as a background...direct on paper application with a sponge. Some of the accenting was done with Sakura glitter pens. The image was stamped with Versa Mark and then embossed with green glitter embossing powder and colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens. All was layered on green grass cs by GKD and Best Creation dp. Added some ribbon and a little bling. The sentiment was stamped with Cottage ivy Memento.

And Happy St. Patty's Day to you...and hope you can find something you would like to do with chalk as a background!

Happy Spring! Happy Easter!

This is for Speedy Fox and Friend's Challenge -- use lace..week 96. For this one I decided to make another criss cross card....nice and easy...and add some lace! ( Hope to see your entry! Click here to see the spot where to enter!)

I used GKD yellow cs with Reminisce and Carolees dp. The images were from MFP a Heinrich Company Blessings 2012. I stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento and then colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens. Used various Spellbinders to diecut -- Labels 1, 4 and Ribbon Banners. After the criss cross was made in the front I used a yellow ribbon and then attached the lace behind the diagonals and also put a piece of lace as the pull tap on the insert. Added some flowers, brads, button and a bow....and this is ready to wish someone a Happy Spring! Happy Easter!

Friend to Friend

Recipe challenge time at For Fun Challenges!!! This is a sponsor free challenge....so use your digi images or stamps and create a Recipe card. This one is totally for fun fun fun!

Here is the website to put your recipe card on!

Here is the recipe --

  • 1 sentiment as the main image
  • 2 different ribbons
  • 3 brads or buttons
I used the Sanqunetti Design Images Blooming Friend sentiment and sponged by background with Versa Magic lime and diecut with Nesting Circles by Quickutz. The sentiment was outlined with Sakura glitter pens. I used 2 different ribbons -- one flat and one a bow and then added 3 buttons.

This is another Criss Cross card and the inside I did use a floral image and sentiment and had to add some pearls to finish it off. They were colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens. The Key Lime cs from GKD and K & Company dp finishes the diagonals off.

Have fun and create a Recipe you can enjoy and use!

Flowers In Peach

This is for MyGrafico Challenge...Flowers in Peach..February 18. For this one I decided to try and do a criss cross card and it was unbelievably fast and easy!!

Here is the website. You have until March 2 to enter. You can win this Blooming Friends Digital stamp set by Sanqunetti Designs .

I used Donna-Salaza Design dp and GKD Just Peachy and white cs. The criss cross card is easy to make by first cutting your cs for a 51/2 x 41/4 card...fold...then cut the front at a diagonal. Then use the other diagonal for the other criss cross. After the dp paper is measured and cut then it is just attached. I added the ribbon and then used tape to attach the front to the back. Do your measuring for your insert and it will then slide in and out.

These lovely digi images are from Sanqunetti Design and have LOTS of possiblities for ways to put them together. I used 3 of the sentiments and then used 3 different versions of one of the floral images. Quite fun to arrange. I colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens and cut out with Nesting Circles by QuicKutz. The background of the images and sentiment were sponged with memento cantaloupe and Galore yellow. Added a bow and some bling and the perfect card to send to a friend...and I have just the friend to send it to! Have a great day!
Insert is all the way down...

Here the insert is pulled up....

With the insert side by side.

Sit Long, Talk Much, Laugh Often!

Welcome to the 4th Challenge of Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe--use chalk as a background. Remember you must used our chalks BUT any image!!!! If you want the chalk....be sure to check out the website! Check it out here! Great offerings on there!!!!  What a great way to do the background! *Here is the website to enter the challenge!

I used a Paper Studios Whimsy Frame embossing folder and after the embossing just applied the powdered chalk directly on the paper with a sponge dauber! So easy and NO mess and NO fixative necessary!!! Just sponge, wipe and DONE!!!!

The cs was GKD white and K and Company dp and that is what I matched the colors to. I was SO pleased to find chalk and copics that were an EXCELLENT match!! The stamp image (from Stamp N Plus Scrap N) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento and then I colored the tea pots and cups with Copics and accented with Sakura glitter pens. The sentiment I stamped twice and sponged with with chalk, then traced the letters with Sakura glitter pens and glued the layer on top...didn't want to have a total pop up look so just a second layer did the trick. Then added some ribbon and some bling. A great card to send to a friend who YOU love to chat with!

Hope to see your entry!!! The winner will receive a mini stamp set!

Blessings of Easter

This is for the Joy Fold Challenge suggested by Pat at Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge for February 18. I used the MFP a Heinrich Company Blessings stamp. This is a square Joy Fold card.
                                             *here is the website!

First measured the card base...41/4 x 6 and scored at 41/4 and the little card is 3x6 scored at 3...then measured and cut the dp paper to fit. The dp is from Design Originals and Oriental Trading. The cs is from GKD Key Lime and the white is MFP snow storm. The images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens I used Spellbinders Classic Postage Stamp and Scalloped Square large for the diecuts. The sentiments were stamped with Grape Jelly Memento and the inside was New Sprout Memento...the background was sponged with Versa Magic Sea Breeze and Lime. Added some ribbon, some pearls and accented some of the sentiments with Sakura Glitter pens.

And do hope you come up with a Joy Fold Card of your own. If you are as unsure of what kind of a card this is as I was, do a google search and YOU will find several different You Tubes as well as directions!! Good luck....some directions are better than others! :-)

Happy Valentine's Day...What is in the box??

This is for the MyGrafico Monday Feature -- using Vintage Labels. This Vintage labels have LOTS of possibilities and uses! (here is the website)

I decided to create some Valentine treasures! I first created a box....used white cs from MFPaHC and Paper Pizzaz dp and a stash piece of embossed pink cs. The pattern for the box was taken from Cutting Cafe. The box was cut out first and the lines scored...then cut out and scored the dp pieces....and started folding and taping. Then put on the finishing touches of some Sakura glitter pens accent on the Vintage labels, cut the labels out with Petite Scalloped Circles Large by Spellbinders,  added some ribbon on the cover, some decos, bling and stickers on the box....and filled the box with ???? Hmmmm??? Wonder what it is??

Then decided to finish the treat box off with a card. Again used the Petite Scalloped Circles Large and cut out a card and another Vintage label....attached the label to the front and decorated with decos, stickers and ribbon...the inside was totally with stickers!

And Happy Valentine's Day! Look down below and you will see the treat in the box! :-)

Happy Valentine's Day! This is the front of the card and box!

The inside of the card...and what is in the box

Oh it is Tic Tacs!! What a surprise! Happy Valentine's Day!

Tea Time

This is for the Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge at Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Company -- use a shaped card. I hope you enjoy making it as much as I did! Here is the website to enter and check out more cards!

I used a tea pot pattern from the Cutting Cafe and cut it out on white cs from MFP, then Stawberry Freeze cs and the dp is from K & Company. The lid of the tea pot is popped out with foam dots. The stamp set is Floral Tea from MFP a HC and I used copics to color it in to match the dp and then used Beaded Ovals Spellbinders to cut out the oval. Took a pink ribbon and weaved it in and out...added a little bling and it is the perfect card to send to a friend to share a cup and relax! I decided it would also work for a lunch invite to my friend who always drinks tea!

Hope you can join us for this challenge and add a little variety to your card making and make a shaped card....I am finding that I really am enjoying that little bit of something "different" to challenge me!

An Irish Blessing Fairy

This is my first card for the Design Team at MyGrafico! I am excited to be joining this group!!! They have some wonderful and exciting projects and I will have to work really hard to think "outside the box" and come up with some creative projects! Good for the ole brain to do some thinking!

This first challenge starts February 6 -February 17 and is sponsored by Sarah Paris. You can win this fairy image. (here is the website)

The theme of the challenge is Let's Go Green....so I opted to have my fairy become an Irish fairy and she is sending us all an Irish blessing! She is a digi stamp and colored with Copics and Sakura glitter pens and then cut out. The cardstock was creme de menthe from GKD and the Irish dp is from Best Creations. I used a patter from Cutting Cafe to make the shamrocks and layered it on the front and put the fairy on top of the Martha Stewart pearls. Added some embellishments, some more pearls,  and a rub on saying on the bottom with a ribbon and bow.

The inside is also a rub on saying with some added coins. And I hope that Irish blessing comes true! Happy St. Patty's Day!

Hello Hello Hello

Welcome to Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe's third challenge! This one starts February 5 and runs for 2 weeks until February 16. The challenge is to use chalk with a sentiment...using chalk anyway!

( Here is the website to enter the challenge)

The stamps are from Stamp N Plus Scrap N and I stamped the rose 3 different times with Tuxedo Black Memento and then used chalk mixed with 3D Crystal Lacquer and painted it in. The chalks used were Red, Rose, Rain, Pearl Purple, Nifty and Blush on the roses and Sherbert on the leaves. I also used a green copic on the stems and accented with Sakura glitter pens. The cs was MFP Snow Storm and then the background was purple GKD, stash Valentine paper. The image was cut out with Spellbinders Scalloped Hearts. The sentiment was stamped with Memento and then the background direct chalk to paper sponge. Also sponged the background of the heart. Added some ribbon and some bling and Happy Valentine's to you!

Hope you can join us this week and looking forward to another sampling from the Design Team for using a sentiment. This week the winner will be getting a 4 piece chalk set! Hope to see your entry there!

Happy Birthday Wishes

Welcome to Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge for Week 93...February 4 - 10..Use a spray( such as Smooch, Tattered Angels, Glimmer, etc.)  as suggested by Pat. Find that spray and put it to use!
(Here is the website to enter you challenge)
I decided flowers was the way to go....so decided to use MFP a Heinrich Company's stamp set Happy Pansies for my images. I colored those with Copics and Sakura glitter pens and then cut them out and popped them on the front of the card. The base of the cad is GKD Key Lime cs, white cs by GKD for the Smooch spray, snow storm smooth MFP for the images and the dp is Tim Coffey and stash vellum.

I tried to create sun rays on my white cs for the background of the pansies using Smooch sprays...used post it notes to move along and instead of using the usual ink to sponge the rays I did a spray and then added some blue for the sky and the bottom is green for grass. Had to add a little Bling, ribbon and the sentiment is Spellbinders Grommet tags die cut.

The inside also has some pearls, ribbon and sentiment as well.  And I do hope you have a fabulous day! Hope you can find some spray and I'll eagerly wait to see what you create!

Outside where the Smooch spray is used

More birthday wishes!
