Welcome!

So very nice of you to stop by! What a fun and challenging hobby to have!

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.

May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Easter Blessings

Linda has challenged us to make a square card for Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 101. I decided to combine it with an Easter card.
Hope to see your entry here!

The yellow cs is from GKD, with Carolees Creations dp. I used Labels 2 by Spellbinders to cut out the image of the bunny and the saying. The stamps were Blessings 2012 by MFP a Heinrich Company and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics and highlighted with Sakura glitter pens. Added some embellishments, stickers, pearls, brads and a ribbon. The background was sponged with Memento Summer Sky and the the sentiment stamped with Memento Danube Blue.

Happy Easter!

Looking forward to seeing your square card creation!

Liebster Blog Award

Liebster Blog Award...

I just received this award from Katie
and had no idea what it meant.
Then I read further....
Well, so with that...
'Liebster' in German means 'dearest',

The idea of the award is to draw attention to blogs with less than 200 followers and pass the award on to 5 other bloggers all in the spirit of fostering new connections.

The rules for the award are :

1. Show your appreciation to the person who gave it to by thanking them and linking back to their blog.
2. Post the award to your blog.
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and follow.
4. Leave a comment to the 5 bloggers to let them know you have chosen them for the award.

So I have some 'thank you's to give...
Thank you for giving me this award

Now in light of keeping this Award going, I would like to give this award to :

You always keep me smiling, I can hear your giggle and inspiration and I so enjoy your sense of humor!

You have been so thoughtful and kind and I enjoy your creativity!

You always have something kind to say, so supportive and thoughtful and you do the most beautiful coloring!

You did such an awesome job of introducing me to what it means to be on a Design Team, so patient and full of great guidance!

Enjoy the Day -- Happy Mother's Day

This is for Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge -- clean and simple one layer card. This was a challenge for me because I LOVE layers! :-))

Here is the spot to enter that creation!

I used white cs by GKD...folded in half and that is the one and only layer! I embossed it with a Paper Studio embossing folder Whimsy Frame and it was the perfect size for the Mother's Magnolia stamp set by MFP a Heinrich Company that is just coming out for March! What a fun stamp set to work with!

After embossing I chalked the background and the embossing folder with yellow chalk from Chalk-Ah-Lot and stamped the image in the middle and the saying with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then colored with Copics and highlighted with Sakura glitter pens and added 4 pearls and a bow. The inside has NO dp added...only stamped with 2 smaller magnolias and the sentiment! Again colored with Copics.

Hope you can get your creative fingers going and make that clean and simple one layer card!

Enjoy the Day in yellow!

Happy Mother's Day!

Friends

For Fun Challenge this week has no sponsor and the challenge is to use CIRCLES! What creation can you make using circles?

I had found a box of embossed cards by DCWV that came with the fronts already embossed and one of them happened to be retro circles! SO it was perfect for this challenge! I used Chalk-Ah-Lot powdered chalk and applied it directly to the circles. After wiping the chalk off (which you do NOT need to apply fixative) I stamped each circle with GKD Bring the Bling Stamps and the word friends from GKD Friends stamp set and then used brads to decorate with. Some were plain circle brads and some were flowers. Added a polka dot (circle) bow.

The inside was covered with Amscan dp and I adhered little buttons in the flowers and attached flower buttons to the Labels 3 die cut which was stamped with GKD Friends stamp set. The perfect card to now send to a friend!

Looking forward to seeing your circle creation! Happy creating!

Thank You Center Step Card

This is for MyGrafico using the Vintage bundle by lil ellaboudy Designs. These are great black and white images and I found the way to use several of them!

I used a Center step card made from white cs and used black cs GKD for backgrounds....the rest are all the digi images from lil ellaboudy. I used Spellbinders to cut some of them out...Classic Scalloped Rectangles, Beaded Ovals, Labels 20, Rectangles and the paper cutter! Also used Recollections brads, pearls, flower brads and some black ribbon. The metal Thank You if by Craft Essentals. I was pleased with how quickly it actually went together. Once you have your parts measured it is a matter of cut and glue!!

Thank You!

Happy Birthday

Welcome to Chalk-Ah-Lot Challenge ... use chalk mixed with glue. It is not too difficult to do...simply put down a dab of glue and get your brush moist with glue....then put it in the chalk....bring it back to your dab of glue and mix and mix....keep adding until you get the desired color....I do it all with a paint brush and then paint my spot! Wash off with water and do the same for another color! Give it a try!!! You will be surprised at how easy and fun it is to do!!!

This one I used the Paper Studio Whimsy embossing folder and then applied the chalk direct to paper over the embossed area...wiped it off...then stamped the image from Stamp N Plus Scrap N with Grape Jelly Memento ink and also the Happy Birthday sentiment from Stamp  N Plus Scrap N. This was done on white GKD cs. Then I did the chalk with glue mixtures and painted my image...just did one color at a time. After it dried, I used the Sakura Glitter pens for a little accent. NO markers were used on this one at all!

Then the background was sponged with chalk direct to paper to create some green grass, blue sky and yellow sun. Added some ribbons, a bow and some pearls....and Happy Birthday to you!!!

Hope you will join us for this challenge!

Happy Birthday to You!

Tweet Blessings

This is for Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge -- create a Bingo card. The challenge was to create a Bingo card using the 3 boxes going either horizontal, vertical or diagonal. I opted to do the boxes that were Glitter, Embossing folder, Piercing. Hope you can come up with a creation too!

The card is Onyx by GKD cs with dp by SEI Moonrise and DCWV Lemon Flower. The gold glitter was embossed with the  Sizzix Damask Set of embossing folders and then placed inside the Rectange Frame by Spellbinders that was diecut with the DCWV dp. I punched the holes out and then pierced inside of the holes so you could see the black cs. Added a bow and bird house charm from MFP a Heinrich Company to add a little "flavor".

The inside uses MFP a Heinrich Company Tweet Blessings stamp set. It was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and placed inside the Rectangles Frame. Added a few pearls to the front and the inside...and it is complete!

The "BINGO" front -- glitter, embossing folder, piercing

This is for the Chalk-Ah-Lot challenge to use chalk with glue. It is so truly amazing what this chalk will do!! * Here is the place to enter your challenge!

I used Passionate Pink cs by GKD and white cs by GKD. The white was embossed with a Paper Studio embossing folder, GEO Flowers. I then mixed chalk with glue and painted in each of the flowers, wiped off the excess and when all the flowers were done covered the whole thing with stardust chalk and glue mixed and then wiped off. Doesn't show real well in the picture but it does give a shiny background look.

The umbrella which is a Stamp N Plus Scrap N stamp was painted with chalk and glue mixed, accented with Sakura glitter pens and then cut out and popped on the frton. The sentiment (also from Stamp N Plus Scrap N0 is stamped in Blue Danube Memento ink and cut out with Ribbon Tags Trio by Spellbinders.

The corners of the white is punched with flowers, added some flower rads, ribbon and buttons and a bow and April Showers Bring May Flowers!!

Looking forward to your creation of chalk with glue and this week the prize is a set of 4 chalks! So get creative and show us what you can do!
